Mansion, Paris Champs-Élysées

An 18th-century mansion spanning 2,000 m² in the heart of Paris, near the Champs-Élysées. The history of this landmark plays a crucial role in Shirine Zirak’s work. While preserving the classical architecture and the timeless elegance that defines this mansion, Zirak skilfully introduced modernity through a thoughtful use of materials. The result is a highly graphic and streamlined design.
The flooring features bold graphic marble in shades of gray, black, and white, creating a structured and striking visual effect. The walls, finished in a soft white patina, complement the marble, enhancing its beauty while creating a serene atmosphere. Contemporary smoked mirrors punctuate the bays, contributing to the structure and amplifying the sense of space. The vaulted ceilings, covered entirely in white gold leaf, add a touch of opulence.
Custom-designed contemporary lighting fixtures from a renowned designer illuminate the space, while the furniture—crafted from stainless steel and leather—blends classic and modern styles. The owner, an avid collector of contemporary art, commissioned a metal structure to cover the interior courtyard, creating a gallery-like space to showcase his collection. This fusion of historical elegance and modern design creates a unique and harmonious living environment.
