After building experience while working alongside the greatest architects and head architects on projects involving historical buildings, she started working in collaboration with renowned interior designer Jacques Garcia. Together they handled the renovation of the famous “Fouquet’s” restaurant in Paris.
Working as a project director for approximately ten years, she took on renovations for the whole of the Lucien Barriere group (hotels, casinos, restaurants, bars, spas, fitness spaces, club-houses…) as well as prestigious hotels such as “La Mamounia” in Marrakech and “Le Danieli” in Venice. She was also entrusted with the renovation of castles and town houses for private clients and select bars owned by the Costes brothers.
These projects gave her professional career a new direction. While working on them, she found her interest in luxury and sophistication confirmed.
Building up on this now vast experience, Shirine Zirak launched her own studio in Paris in 2007 with a team made of highly qualified architects, interior designers, graphists, and perspective drawers.
Soon private clients and governments sought her out to work on the conception of various prestigious projects across the world (Switzerland, Monaco, New York, Taiwan…). These included luxury housing and towers, chalets, high fashion studios, hotels, bars, restaurants, boutiques, and offices.
In 2013 she hit a milestone in her professional career. Her meeting with Karl Lagerfeld that year, led to a lasting collaboration, which only ended when he passed away.
Both Karl and Shirine represent French excellence for they are keen perfectionists. Their pairing was particularly successful as Karl granted absolute trust to Shirin for her ability to conceive innovating and refined projects. As they were both totally synchronised, he entrusted her with bringing his majestic vision to life, within an architectural and ornamental context. They kept working in pair on prestigious projects across the world:
Chanel haute couture studios in Paris: upper-management offices, meeting rooms, Karl’s creative studio (Coco Chanel’s former studio), communal areas…
After handling the renovation of the Metropole Hotel in Monte-Carlo in 2001, she was asked again in 2020 to contribute to another round of renovation (rooms, suites, restaurant, bar, VIP kitchen…).
That year, she also took part in the renovation of the “Metropole Shopping Centre” in Monte-Carlo, working alongside architect Piuarch.
Since then, Shirine Zirak has launched her second company and set new studios in Monaco.
